Adidas : Primeknit
Primeknit, a material developed by adidas, is a weave of fine threads that creates a second skin or sock that envelops the foot, providing ultimate comfort when wearing the shoe. Primeknit is composed of an extremely lightweight weave, which translates into a gain in lightness and breathability. Primeknit is also totally waterproof, and because of its composition, Primeknit is soft and flexible, thanks to the absence of seams on models with Primeknit uppers. All these components allow the foot to follow all its movements inside the shoe, which is essential for optimizing comfort and the shoe's response to changes in direction and stance during a basketball match, while ensuring secure foot support.
Primeknit is used on different types of models, whether soccer boots, sneakers (Stan Smith, Superstar, Tubular, etc.) or basketball shoes. The adidas basketball shoes that benefit from this technology are the Crazylight Boost 2015 and Crazylight Boost 2.5, worn by James Harden, Andrew Wiggins (who has his own Crazylight Boost 2015 model), Mike Conley and Kyle Lowry.
