The AJ39 is a basketball shoe unlike any other. It sets the bar very high, reminding the world to whom we owe everything we know about basketball. Lightweight, dynamic ZoomX foam. Full-length Air Zoom unit. You get responsive cushioning to let your footwork do the talking. The result? You stay in control. So get out there and shake your opponents.
Stay in control
We've added a protective cushion at the instep to keep your foot in place and prevent your toes from tapping against the toe. After all, just because Michael Jordan lost a few toenails doesn't mean you have to suffer the same fate.
Zoom in comfort
ZoomX foam, Nike's lightest high-performance foam, conforms to the natural shape of your foot. For flexible, dynamic and lightweight cushioning. We've combined it with a full-length Air Zoom unit for incredible energy return.
Optimum resistance
Remember Michael Jordan's cross-steps? Of course I do. We drew a lot of our inspiration from the GOAT's movements on the pitch. The integrated cupsole sole on the sides stabilizes the foot in lateral movements and provides maximum cushioning.

Very good quality, comfortable, correctly sized, suitable for thin and wide feet. Good grip of the outsole on the ground.

Size: I had to go down to 42.5 instead of my usual 43.
They're super comfortable, and the materials are top quality. Aesthetically, they're a banger!
Opinion on crosstraining use: This model lacks support: with so much cushioning, the shoe feels unstable and lacks support.
Grip is okay on clean ground.
Overall, this is a good model that would be perfect with the traditional carbon fiber support plate. If you have elite ankles, I think this model is perfect.
