The Tatum 1 "Zoo" cultivates a wild side, with a design inspired by the place where Jay most likes to take his son. Giraffe, zebra and fawn prints intertwine on the upper to create a play of textures and colors. Embroidery on the tongue completes the animal theme to perfection. And touches of classic red hark back directly to Jordan's heritage.

Enter the legend

This intuitively designed shoe features instructions directly on the heel: STEP. The retractable heel is an innovation for teens, making it easy to put on and take off their shoes.

Rubber (only) at strategic points

Rubber is heavy. That's why we eliminated as much of it as possible. But we've kept it in the important places: on the forefoot and on the toe, where you take your footing for explosive drives.

Reinforced foam

The foam is wrapped around a tough plastic structure to create a lightweight yet structured midsole. We then put it through its paces to make sure it stands up to the rigors of the game.
