In 1904, Frank Mitchell and Charles Ness moved to Philadelphia to create Mitchell & Ness Sporting Goods. The company specialized in tennis racket strings and golf clubs, in addition to creating uniforms for local baseball and American soccer teams around Philadelphia.
The Mitchell & Ness label first appeared in the National Football League in 1933 when it created the Philadelphia Eagles' uniforms, a partnership that would continue for 30 years. Mitchell & Ness entered professional baseball in 1938 with the production of Philadelphia Athletics jerseys.
In 1985, Mitchell & Ness received a request that changed its history forever. A customer asked them to repair his old St Louis Browns game jersey. This request inspired them to research and reproduce vintage baseball jerseys and apparel. Mitchell & Ness was born.
Since then, Mitchell&Ness has also been offering vintage NBA jerseys and other apparel faithful to the original quality and materials.
